Can handheld testing devices be used to show compliance with the Exposure to Toxins credit?
Can handheld testing devices be used to show compliance with the Exposure to Toxins credit?
Projects may use handheld testing devices when targeting the Exposure to Toxins credit instead of using a method in-line with ISO 16000-6, ASTM D5197 or EPA TO-17.
Measurements are required to meet the following:
- All sample measurements must meet levels listed below:

- Sample measurements must be collected in all areas based on the current credit requirements.
- A sample measurement is the average reading of at least 5 minutes in the same location.
- The equipment used must meet the NABERS IE requirements.
GBCA notes this method is only available for Green Star Performance v2 and not for Green Star Buildings.
