[RETRACTED] What NatHERS energy ratings does my project need to meet if it's built to NCC 2022?

The below FAQ has been retracted. Project teams that have been previously advised by GBCA to apply the below FAQ on projects registered to Green Star Buildings v1 and subject to NCC 2022, please contact the technical coordinator on your project if you have not already been contacted by the GBCA. 

Please note that the below requirements will likely be included in Green Star Building v1.1, pending further industry consultation. 

Projects built to the National Construction Code (NCC) 2022 Section J requirements, must follow the below requirements when targeting the Energy Use - Residential pathway credit from Green Star Building v1.

Requirements

Minimum Expectation

  • Area weighted average NatHERS  - 7.5 stars
  • Sole Occupancy rating NatHERS  - 6 stars

Credit Achievement

  • Area weighted average NatHERS  - 7.5 stars
  • Sole Occupancy rating NatHERS  - 6.5 stars

Exceptional Performance

  • Area weighted average NatHERS  - 8 stars
  • Sole Occupancy rating NatHERS  - 7 stars

 

All other requirements are as per Green Star Buildings v1 submission guidelines.
