Green Star FAQs

Yes, in addition to initiatives recognised under the 'Product certification schemes assessment framework', initiatives recognised under the new Responsible Products Framework are also recognised for the Sustainable Products credit in Green Star - Design & As Built and Green Star - Interiors. 

Additional Level A schemes

Individual schemes classified as 'Good Practice' or 'Best Practice' in the Responsible Structure or Responsible Envelope credits, and initiatives recognised as 'Best Practice' in Responsible Systems and Responsible Finishes are recognised as Level A. As of the writing of this FAQ, this includes, but is not limited to, 

• Cradle to Cradle Certified
• Healthrate Platinum and Gold
• Living Product Challenge 

Additional Level B schemes

Individual schemes recognised as 'Good Practice' in Responsible Finishes and Responsible Systems are recognised as Level B. As of the writing of this FAQ, this includes, but is not limited to,

• Climate Active Carbon Neutral for Products and Services
• Declare 2.0

Applicability

This FAQ applies to projects targeting a Green Star rating under a Legacy Rating Tool. A project that is targeting a Green Star Buildings rating or has pursued a credit substitution, must use the assigned Responsible Product Value (RPV).
