Where can I attend Green Building Day?
Our in-person events will be held in Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne & Sydney. The Sydney event will also be live streamed if you are unable to attend any of the local events in person. Select virtual attendance when registering.
When does the early bird rate end?
The early bird rate is available until 9am, Monday 10 May. Book now and save up $100.
What happens if the event in my city is cancelled due to COVID restrictions?
You can either transfer your registration to the virtual event live-streaming on 22 June and a partial refund of the ticket difference will be provided. Or a full refund can be provided.
What should I do if I am feeling unwell or can no longer attend in person?
You can send a colleague to attend in your place or transfer your registration to the virtual event live-streaming on 22 June.
Will a recording of the virtual event be available?

About Steve
Steve Ford is the Head of Sustainability and Energy at The GPT Group. He has worked for over a decade in driving improved environmental and social sustainability outcomes in the property industry. His current focuses are delivering the GPT zero emissions plan and embedding high integrity waste and resource management practices and reporting.
A physicist himself, prior to joining the property industry, Steve worked with scientists, engineers and educators at the Australia Museum and the University of New South Wales on programs to disseminate their research to a broad range of audiences. He has carried his passion for a sustainable future throughout his career.

Chris Nunn is Head of Sustainability at AMP Capital Real Estate. AMP Capital has a real estate portfolio valued at approximately A$28 billion, mainly in Australia and NZ, consisting of approximately 100 shopping centres, offices and industrial assets. Chris has 19 years' experience in sustainability with expertise in environmental law, sustainability consultancy, green building design and operations, sustainability rating systems, corporate sustainability strategy and reporting.

About Michael
Michael Wheatley joined the AMP Capital Real Estate Development team in December 2015 as the Development Director for the redevelopment of the Quay Quarter Sydney precinct. He brings over 25 years of experience in the development of landmark office and urban regeneration projects.
Prior to joining AMP, Michael spent 21 years at Lendlease and was most recently was the Development Director for the International Towers, Sydney at Barangaroo. In this role he led the development team responsible $4 billion of development incorporating totaling 290,000m2 of office, retail and community facilities.
Michael was also Project Director of the Darling Quarter redevelopment, one of Australia’s most successful office and urban regeneration developments. He was responsible for all development aspects of this landmark project from the leading the bid and transaction process through to project delivery. In addition, he was Senior Project Manager on the flagship building 30 The Bond.

About Monica
My passion for the property industry and experience in this sector spans over 20 years. In this time, I have been fortunate enough to have delivered strategic marketing and social sustainability activities for high profile industry brand names including Stockland and DEXUS. My current role since June 2019, as Social Sustainability and Partnerships Manager at Landcom, sees me overseeing and executing on the social aspects of our Sustainable Places Strategy to enhance liveability, resilience and inclusion in our communities. Key activities to achieve these goals include: developing and measuring community development initiatives, research of our communities in terms of liveability, setting up frameworks and benchmarks for strategic partnerships and assisting with setting the direction for our commitments to mitigating Modern Slavery and developing Landcom’s Reconciliation Action Plan.

About Danielle
Danielle McCartney is the Head of Sustainability at UTS where she is responsible for improving the University’s sustainability performance through the planning, delivery and communication of sustainability initiatives. Danielle has been working in the tertiary education sector since 2011, previously working in architectural practice and as a sustainability consultant in Australia and London. With her experience in integrating sustainability into the built environment Danielle provides strategic sustainability advice and review for University building projects and infrastructure. She also works collaboratively across the governance, operations, engagement, research and teaching / learning areas of the University to deliver sustainability outcomes. Danielle is also a Director on the Executive Board of ACTS (Australasian Campuses Towards Sustainability)

About Mark
Mark is National Sales Manager for Alinta Energy Geothermal. Having started the geothermal business with Queensland contractor QPS in 2011, Mark has developed the business and the industry from the ground up and transitioned into this role with the acquisition of by Alinta Energy. Mark was responsible for the negotiation and establishment of the Fairwater residential community in Sydney with Frasers Property that, when completed, will be one of the largest geothermal HVAC projects of its kind globally. With a 20 year plus career within the construction and property industries, Mark has developed a broad and deep knowledge of the industry participants and functions. Mark has held senior positions in both building companies as well as product suppliers and industry associations.
