Jo Gardner-Marlin

ESD CONSULTANT, ARUP AUSTRALASIA

About
Jo has a passion for embedding sustainable design practices into a variety of projects and contexts, with a strong focus on decarbonisation, embodied carbon, and circular economy. Jo works closely with Arup’s Sustainable Building’s team, helping the team to deliver clear and succinct guidance to clients in a timely manner. She is passionate about community-centred projects and enhancing the positive impact on both people and the environment. She is experienced with strategising during concept stage to delivering outcomes through to construction. Jo’s work is seen across a variety of sectors and markets, from mixed-use developments to healthcare projects and museums. Her work is featured in the Southbank by Beulah development in Melbourne, Carlton Connect Precinct and most recently Bendigo’s upcoming mass timber GovHub, of which she has undertaken the whole of life cycle assessment and is coordinating the Green Star submission.
