The challenge is clear - World-leading fitouts must be designed and built to be as close to fully circular as possible.
As our built environment continues to grow, so does the need for healthy, resilient and positive fitouts inside our buildings for the benefit of the environment and the wellbeing of people. Now is the time to redefine what world class sustainability means for building fitouts. Green Star Interiors was successful in opening up the market, with fitouts of all types having achieved a rating thanks to partners like Commonwealth Bank and Country Road Group.
We have learned a lot, and we are ready to take it to the next level. Around ~10% of global energy consumption comes from fitouts; they are key determinants of our health and wellbeing; and most importantly, 30% of all commercial building waste is fitout churn. We can do better.
Green Star Fitouts will be the next generation of Green Star – Interiors, and will be a simplified framework which will help applicants navigate how to create a sustainable fitout and get it certified through Green Star.
In this webinar, we will take you through the proposed vision for the Green Star Fitouts tool.
We are currently in our Scoping Consultation phase in the development process of the new Green Star Fitouts tool. In this phase, we release a paper and survey to explain our proposed vision for the tool, and ask for your feedback, to ensure that we provide you with a tool which continues to be valuable to industry, and helps to drive sustainable fitouts across Australia.
