Module: Innovation Challenge - Reconciliation Action Plan
One of the major existing social inequalities in Australia is the economic disadvantage faced by many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. A Reconciliation Action Plan is a proven framework for organisations to provide opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. A Green Star project can play a central role in the development of a Reconciliation Action Plan.
RAPs are practical plans of action built on relationships, respect and opportunities. Organisations can choose from four types of RAP – Reflect, Innovate, Stretch or Elevate - depending on progress in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment, retention, cultural awareness and procurement.
Each RAP framework sets out the minimum requirements from your organisation to build strong relationships, respect and opportunities.
