Green Star foundations

The Green Star foundations course is ideal for those wanting to get to grips with Green Star and its role in sustainability in the built environment.

If you are looking to work on more Green Star projects in the future, or looking as an organisation to keep up to date with the ever changing industry movements, this course will give you the insights you need.

Key topics explored in this course:

• why it is critical to embed sustainability in the built environment
• examining the business case for sustainability and benefits of choosing Green Star
• overview of the Green Star rating tools
• learn from a case study – tips on how they achieved a Green Star rating and lessons for success

Whether from a developer, architect, supplier or wider professional services, this course will arm you with a greater understanding of sustainability to share with your stakeholders and customers.

This course is also part of our Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Program and the first step to gaining your Green Star Associate (GSA) or Green Star Accredited Professional (GSAP) qualification.

About Helen

Helen is responsible for research within the GBCA. She has more than 20 years’ experience working in social and market research. She is a member of The Research Society, Australia’s leading research association and has maintained accreditation as a Qualified Professional Researcher (QPR) since its inception in 2002. Helen holds a BA in Communication and a Post Graduate Diploma in Environment. As research manager at the GBCA she combines her research experience with her passion for working towards a sustainable environment, running GBCA’s research projects as well as assisting the academic and industry research.
