Work-lover, not Workcover: indoor environment quality influences productivity as well as staff well-being.

Welcome

This month our focus is on Indoor Environment Quality (IEQ). International studies have demonstrated that daylight, fresh air, good indoor air quality, acoustic quality and personal control over comfort levels all vastly improve the building occupants' productivity and well being.

Our members in Sydney and Melbourne have had the good fortune to hear US expert Anthony Bernheim provide valuable insights into the risks and opportunities posed by indoor air quality.

Our focus on IEQ coincides with Clean Up Australia's Business Clean Up Day. To mark the Day, the Council has put together a checklist of ways that you can green your office.

And finally, the Council would like to extend a warm welcome to its newest members: Baulderstone Hornibrook Pty Ltd, Westside Mechanical Contracting Pty Ltd, Medland Mitropoulos Pty Ltd and Origin Energy.

Wastes such as fly and bottom ash, slags etc can be included, without incurring problems such as delayed reactions. Eco-Cement absorbs C02 from the atmosphere to set and harden and can be recycled.
