	Welcome The Green Building Council will commence the development of two new rating tools - Green Star - Health and Green Star - Education in the coming months. This has been made possible through a very generous grant of $360,000 from the South Australian Government's Department for Administrative and Information Services. It is recommended that you download Green Star rating tools from the Council's website every time you use them in order to capture any administrative changes made to the tools. 	News Lord Mayor of Melbourne John So signs environmental accords Melbourne's Lord Mayor John So joined mayors from around the world to sign Urban Environmental Accords as part of activities to mark United Nations World Environment Day. The Accords commit the mayors to building an ecologically sustainable, economically dynamic and socially equitable future for their citizens. Read More » BASIX Update The introduction of BASIX for multi-unit residential developments has been delayed until 1 October 2005. The final version of the tool will be available on the BASIX website from 1 July 2005, however lodgement of BASIX certificates for multi-unit projects will be voluntary until 1 October 2005. BASIX certificates are required for all single dwellings and dual occupancies in NSW from 1 July 2005. Please note: The tool is off-line from 5pm on Wednesday 29 June 2005 until 9am on Friday 1 July 2005 for a full upgrade and migration onto a faster server.
