GBCA tool updates

GBCA precinct project. This exciting new project is being undertaken by the GBCA in partnership with VicUrban. The detailed work on this project will be commencing shortly, with a call for sponsorship now available.

Green Star – Public Buildings PILOT. The first Technical Working Group Workshop for Green Star – Public Buildings was held on Monday 21 September. It is estimated that the PILOT version of the tool will go before the board in February 2010 for approval. Expressions of interest for PILOT projects are expected to be called in March 2010.

Green Star – Industrial v1. The Green Star team is currently finalising version 1 changes to the Green Star – Industrial rating tool. It is anticipated that this tool will be presented to the GBCA Board for approval in February 2010 and will be released to the market in March 2010.

Green Star – Custom. The intention of this project is to develop a process to be used to customise the existing Green Star tools, so that any type of building can be assessed under Green Star. An expression of interest document will be developed and listed on the GBCA website in the coming weeks.
