Industry leader steps aside

After 17 years as the Executive Director of the Australian Procurement and Construction Council (APCC), Jane Montgomery-Hribar has withdrawn from the position for health reasons. Jane has expressed her wish to focus fully on her health and recovery, with a view to returning to the APCC in a different capacity, and on a part time basis, around July 2012.

The Green Building Council of Australia would like to recognise the enormous contribution Jane has made as the Executive Director, APCC for the past 17 years.

Jane has provided exceptional service and has personally driven a wide range of initiatives, and provided great support to the APCC Council of Chief Executives, the wider APCC membership, the GBCA and the wider green building and community agenda.

During Jane’s 17 years as the Executive Director, she was the backbone of the APCC and instrumental in the growth of the APCC work program and the substantial benefits delivered to member agencies. The GBCA wishes Jane a speedy and full recovery.

Teresa Scott has worked closely with Jane for over 10 years, most recently as APCC Director of Projects. Teresa has now commenced in the position of Executive Director for a 12 month term effective from 12 March 2012. The GBCA congratulates Teresa Scott on her new position as Executive Director, APCC.
