Green Building Mission to Canada & US Greenbuild conference
The GBCA is arranging a Green Building Mission to Canada and the US, including a visit to US Greenbuild conference from 3 November 2010 until 19 November 2010.
The plan is to first visit Canada to inspect the Dockside Green development and winter Olympics facilities near Vancouver, as well as meet key planning and community representatives. This will be followed by meetings and inspections in Toronto to gain insights into the latest green developments in that city, including the Waterfront Development. The delegation will also visit New York to inspect leading examples of green buildings and communities, including Battery Park.
'Greenbuild' is the annual conference of the United States Green Building Council
(USGBC) and this year's event in Chicago is expected to attract more than 25,000 delegates. A major part of the conference is a trade show which showcases world-leading green building technology and products.
