Drive the future direction of the property industry through membership of the GBCA committees and Board of Directors. Be a green building leader by being informed enough to influence building owners and tenants to build green.

Is your CEO, Executive Director or Managing Director a green building leader? If so, consider nominating them to become a Board member so they can contribute to the strategic direction of the Green Building Council of Australia. The next Board Election is in November 2008.

Consider how your experience and skills might benefit a Green Building Council committee (Education, Marketing or Advocacy) or make a contribution to the development of Green Star (Technical Working Group). Provide feedback on Green Star pilot tools and influence the final version to ensure it meets your needs, particularly if they are valuable to you and your clients.

Apply Green Star to your own office refurbishment or building to demonstrate leadership and influence suppliers, clients and staff
about the benefits of green buildings. Offer to host a tour or
event at your premises to further demonstrate your leadership.
