Due to substantial growth, a fantastic opportunity has been created for a passionate and experienced Sustainability and Green Projects Manager to join our team
Purpose
Working along side the Health Safety & Environment Manager to advance ISIS' efforts in becoming a recognised leader in sustainability and Green Star projects.
In concert with ISIS, team members help position ISIS for the successful conversion & delivery of projects by effectively and creatively demonstrating our green capabilities, to achieve this outcome the role will have a strong emphasis on relationship development, commercial positioning & Green Star project delivery.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an ISIS Sustainability Plan;
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our markets;
- Assist in the Green aspects of "Expressions of Interest";
- Identify & develop Green winning bid ideas and strategies;
- Understand and exploit Green points of difference;
- Identify & manage Green champions nationally;
- Harness, grow and direct the green collateral in ISIS;
- Foster partnerships with government and industry champions to drive innovation and practical solutions;
- Provide education and awareness amongst employees and clients;
- Ensure ISIS personnel understand and manage Green Star risk;
- Identify & adopt sustainability best practice;
- Review Project Delivery Systems and make recommendations concerning the risk management of Green Star projects;
- Assist with subcontractor & supplier awareness in relation to Green Star projects;
- Keep up to date with the performance of subcontractors & suppliers;
- Keep up to date with construction methodologies, technology and industry trends;
- Ensure accurate measures / records of activities are maintained;
- Provide a monthly report on activities;
- Manage approved sustainability budgets;
- Assist in the development and delivery of training courses.
Selection Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have the following knowledge and experience:
- Ideally to have at least 10 years building experience
- Demonstrated commitment to sustainability
- Preferably possess relevant tertiary qualifications
- Experience in fitout and refurbishment.
- Has been a successful Project Manager.
- An excellent understanding of relevant software.
Skills
- Good computer literacy
- Good MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint skills
- Comfortable with learning new programs
- Tact and diplomacy
- An understanding and appreciation of other roles within ISIS
- Lateral thinker / problem solver
