Green Building Fund Information Seminars
Thu 6 Nov, 2008 News
AusIndustry is hosting a series of national seminars in November about how to apply for the Green Building Fund.
The Green Building Fund is a competitive, merit based grants program that aims to reduce Australia's greenhouse gas emissions, by reducing the energy consumed in the operation of commercial office buildings.
There are two grant streams:
- Stream A - owners of existing commercial office buildings are invited to apply for grants ranging from $50,000 to $500,000 for up to 50% of project costs to support retro-fitting and retro-commissioning projects aimed at reducing base building energy consumption. The applicant must be able to fund at least 50% of the project costs.
- Stream B - a number of limited grants are also available to relevant industry organisations to develop the capability of those involved in operating commercial office buildings, to reduce emissions. Grants of up to $200,000 will be available, for up to 50% of project costs.
