2009 Green Star Accredited Professional Courses released

The dates for the Green Star Courses for 2009 are now available.

You may notice there have been a few changes to the way courses are booked and the new options for course resources. Below we have provided a brief overview of the changes for you.

The key difference in 2009 is that Green Star technical manuals will no longer be provided automatically to every course attendee. Attendees now have the option of purchasing a discounted technical manual or they can simply choose complete the course.

The reasons for doing this are two fold, firstly, many of the technical manuals were unwanted, or it was unnecessary for so many people from the one company to have manuals. This was contributing to excessive materialisation which is obviously against the general aims of the GBCA. Secondly, the new system will give you more choice by allowing you to choose which manual is of most use to you rather than automatically being issued with a Green Star Office Design and As Built technical manual.

You will also be able to now make course payments electronically; this will be the preferred method though alternate arrangements can be made if this is not possible.

Finally, course costs will be increasing slightly in 2009 to keep up with higher venue and catering costs.

New course prices are as follows:
Member rate: $550.00 (Inc GST)
Non Member rate: $800.00 (Inc GST)
