Green Star - Education v1

Green Star - Education v1 was released on 28th August, 2008. The excel tool is now available to download from the GBCA website.

Green Star - Healthcare PILOT

Green Star - Healthcare is currently in its PILOT phase. All of the places available for PILOT assessment have been filled and as such projects that wish to register under Green Star - Healthcare are required to wait for the release of Green Star - Healthcare v1. Although this rating tool is still in its PILOT phase, the GBCA Technical Working Group has been reconvened to examine the PILOT feedback issues, with the rating tool release anticipated by late 2008*.

Green Star - Industrial PILOT

Green Star - Industrial PILOT was released on 2 October, 2008. Green Star - Industrial is currently in its PILOT phase. All of the places available for PILOT assessment have been filled and as such projects that wish to register under the tool are required to wait for the release of Green Star - Industrial v1 in mid 2009. Industry stakeholders are encouraged to test the tool and provide feedback to the GBCA by completing the Feedback Form. Feedback will be considered to inform version 1 of the tool.

Green Star - Mixed Use PILOT

Launched in June 2008, the Green Star - Mixed Use PILOT tool addresses Office, Residential and Retail Centre mixed-use developments. The stakeholder feedback period is due to close on 31st October, 2008.

Green Star - Multi Unit Residential PILOT

Launched on 15th April, 2008, the Green Star - Multi Unit Residential PILOT is currently in its PILOT phase. All places available for pilot assessment have been filled and as such, projects that wish to register under Green Star - Multi Unit Residential are required to wait for the release of Green Star -
Multi Unit Residential v1 in early March 2009.

The PILOT rating tool is available to download from the website, and submission guidelines were updated and made available on 7th August, 2008. The submission of feedback on the tool closed on 10 November, 2008. Feedback from industry stakeholders is important and will be considered to inform version 1 of the tool. A Stakeholder feedback report document will be made available to the public when the Green Star - Multi Unit Residential v1 tool is released in early March 2009.

Green Star - Office Design v3 & Green Star - Office As Built v3

Green Star - Office v3 was released at the beginning of 2008. The excel tool is now available to download and the Technical Manual is available for purchase. As from 30 April 2008, new projects can no longer register under Green Star - Office Design v2 or Green Star - Office As Built v2.

All projects currently registered under Green Star - Office Design v2 or Green Star - Office As Built v2, will be assessed under these rating tools. However, the GBCA encourages projects to upgrade free of charge and certify under Green Star - Office Design v3 and Green Star - Office As Built v3.

Green Star - Office Existing Building EXTENDED PILOT

Green Star - Office Existing Building is currently in EXTENDED PILOT phase. All of the places available for the extended pilot assessment have been filled, hence projects who wish to register under Green Star - Office Existing Building are required to wait for the release of Green Star - Office Existing
Building v1.

The release date for the Green Star - Office Existing Building v1 rating tool has not yet been finalised. The release date will be announced in the e-newsletter and on the GBCA website.

Green Star - Public Building PILOT

One of the next Green Star rating tools to be developed is for Public Building use. The GBCA is currently seeking sponsors for this tool.

Green Star - Retail Centre v1 (formerly Green Star - Shopping Centre PILOT)

Green Star - Retail Centre v1 was released on 28th August. The excel tool is now available to download from the GBCA website.

Green Star encourages you to download the Green Star rating tools and use them to guide the design process. Please note that the use of Green Star rating tools without formal certification by the GBCA does not entitle the user or any other party to promote the Green Star rating achieved. No fee is payable to the GBCA for such use, however formal recognition of the Green Star rating - and the right to promote same - requires undertaking the formal certification process offered by the GBCA.
