Multi Unit Residential PILOT

Green Star - Multi Unit Residential PILOT assesses the environmental attributes of new and refurbished multi-unit residential facilities against the eight categories of Green Star, plus innovation, including energy, water, emissions, materials, indoor environment quality, land use and ecology, management and transport.

Green Star - Multi Unit Residential PILOT is intended to assess buildings with a minimum of 80% of the building's Gross Floor Area (measured to exclude internal carparks) as BCA Class 2 and a minimum of six units.

Green Star - Multi Unit Residential PILOT is applicable to new multi unit residential facilities, extensions to and major refurbishments of existing multiple use residential facilities, as long as they meet the Green Star Eligibility Criteria and are not eligible for any other Green Star rating.

GBCA accepted expressions of interest from project teams wishing to have their designs rated under the Green Star - Multi Unit Residential PILOT tool until 15 June 2008. PILOT projects have recently been selected and currently undergoing the PILOT assessment process.

The submission of feedback on the tool closed on 10 November, 2008. A Stakeholder feedback report document will be made available to the public when version 1 of the tool is released.
