Carpet Institute of Australia Limited, Environmental Certification Scheme (ECS) v1.2.
Carpet Institute of Australia Limited, Environmental Certification Scheme (ECS) v1.2 certification is applicable to carpets and corresponds with the Flooring Calculator in Green Star rating tools.
The ECS awards four levels of certification, which are recognised by the GBCA as follows:
- ECS Level 2 - Level C recognition;
- ECS Level 3 - Level B recognition; and
- ECS Level 4 (two options) - Level A recognition.
ECS Level 1 is excluded from this recognition.
Note: The previously recognised ECS v1.1 standards was replaced with ECS v1.2 in October 2010. Product certified to ECS v1.1 will continue to be rewarded until the expiry date of the certification.
