Green Star Project Registration

Welcome to online registration for Green Star rating tools!
You will need the following details to successfully complete the registration of the project:

1. Review the Green Star Certification Agreement and Trade Mark Rules before beginning registration:

  • Download Green Star Trademark Rules
  • Download Green Star Certification Agreement (DRAFT) UPDATED
  • From 1 January 2013 the Certification Agreement will provide that Green Star - Design ratings will be valid for a limited period expiring two years from the date of a building’s practical completion.
  • Please do not print and sign this document as it is a draft. Once you have registered your project online please notify your case manager that you are happy to proceed with the Agreement and they will issue a copy specifically for you project.
  • Please be aware that the Agreement is non-negotiable, as it represents the standard terms and conditions upon which the GBCA is able to provide a voluntary certification service to the Applicant. Therefore, requests for alterations to the Agreement are discouraged. Applicants will be charged a $200 administration fee in addition to any legal fees incurred by the GBCA associated with alteration requests (as such work is not included in the Assessment Fee and has to be referred to the GBCA Legal Council).

Once you have finished your online application you will receive a Green Star project code (GS-XXX) which must be referenced (subject field) in all the correspondence to the GBCA relating to the project. In addition, a Case Manager will be allocated to your project and they will contact you to finalize the registration of your project.

  • Please note completing this application does not mean your project is Registered. When the GBCA has received an executed copy of the Certification Agreement and payment of the Assessment fee, the project will be considered 'Registered' and will receive a certificate outlining the marketing rules.
