Assessment Panel
Thu 13 Nov, 2008 Certification
An Assessment Panel consists of 2-3 Certified Assessors, an Independent Chair and a GBCA representative.
Each Certified Assessor will review the entire submission in their own time and meet to discuss the results of their review. The Independent Chair mediates this discussion to ensure the assessment process is followed and that all projects are assessed equitably. A GBCA representative will also be present during each Assessment to record the results.
Certified Assessors and Independent Chairs
Due to the popularity and increased uptake of Green Star rating tools, the need to expand the pool of Certified Assessors (CA) and Independent Chairs (IC) to assess these projects has become a priority for the GBCA. Certified Assessors and Independent Chairs form an instrumental part of the GBCA's mission to drive sustainable design and building practices in the property industry. Integral to the decision making process, feedback from the assessment panel is also used to review rating tools and provide clarification on technical issues. As well as gaining in-depth knowledge of the suite of Green Star rating tools, this is a great networking opportunity and will allow you to be part of this exciting mission.

Applicants will be required to submit a Curriculum Vitae and general statement against the selection criteria, to the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) via the following email address greenstar@gbca.org.au.
