How do I become a Certified Assessor?
Fri 13 Jun, 2008 (Updated: Tue 4 Nov, 2008)
Certified Assessors are primarily drawn from the Technical Working Groups that assist in the development of Green Star environmental rating tools.
To qualify for nomination as a Certified Assessor, you must meet a number of criteria. You must:
- Be an experienced Green Star Accredited Professional
- Come from a Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) member organisation
- Have actively participated in Technical Working Group(s)
If you are a current or past member of the Technical Working Group and wish to be considered for the role of a Certified Assessor, please notify the Green Building Council of Australia in writing to greenstar@gbcaus.org
If you do not meet these criteria, you must or gain approval of the GBCA to participate in the Trainee Assessor Program. Participants in this program work with an experienced Certified Assessor on a number of Round 1 and 2 assessments, before gaining Certified Assessor status.
