How should I study for my Green Star Accredited Professional exam? Are there any other resources I can use?

Tue 8 Jul, 2008 (Updated: Tue 4 Nov, 2008)

The material in the Green Star Accredited Professional (GSAP) exam correlates with the version 3 of the Green Star Technical Manual.

To prepare, it is strongly recommended that you become familiar with the general content and structure of the credits outlined within this manual. The exam is designed to test comprehension and application of Green Star as well as an understanding of the Green Building Council of Australia, its functions and processes. There are no supporting documents available to study for the exam, nor is there a practice exam paper.

Please keep in mind that the exam has recently been restructured so that no questions require pure rote learning. For example, you will not be asked questions along the lines of, 'how many points are available for credit x?' The exam is instead structured to encourage a holistic understanding of Green Star and what it seeks to achieve.

We recommend that you take the exam within a few weeks of doing the course to ensure that your knowledge is fresh. Find out more information about the GSAP exam.
