If a course is not listed, and I want the GBCA to consider it, what do I need to do?

Thu 20 May, 2010 (Updated: Fri 25 Nov, 2011)

To claim points for attending a course, event or activity that is not in our list of recognised training, attendees need to submit a request for CPD points through their CPD Learning Portal by following below steps:

  1. Log in to the GBCA website
  2. Click on the CPD link located on the top right hand side of the GBCA home page
  3. Scroll to the middle of the page and click on "Create New Request" underneath the heading Non-GBCA Courses, Events and Activities
  4. A new window will open up; click on the type of training for which you would like to request CPD points
  5. Click on 'My provider is not listed'
  6. Complete the required fields and upload a course outline and evidence of attendance (i.e. a certificate, confirmation of attendance or letter from your employer).

A notification of the outcome of the request will be issued via email within 10 working days. Once approved, non-GBCA courses, events and activities will be displayed on the CPD Learning Portal course database.
