Site Tour: University of Tasmania - Institute for Marine & Antarctic Sciences
Join us on Wednesday 16 April at the University of Tasmania’s, Institute for Marine & Antarctic Sciences (IMAS). With only a handful of certified projects in Tasmania, come behind the scenes to find out how this building achieved a 5 Star Green Star—Education Design v1 rating.
Built along the historic Hobart waterfront, the IMAS design is sympathetic to the area’s past and future uses. It also encourages interaction with the public realm by exposing the activities within the building and includes substantial public exhibition space.
Housing 290 students, staff and researchers with a focus on marine sciences, it is fitting that the institute achieved all available points in the water category and features a unique seawater heat exchange system to regulate the temperature of the building.
Numbers are limited to 15 people. Book now to secure your spot and earn 1 CPD point.
