Achieving its ‘Best Practice’ Green Star rating after only one round of assessment, the Facility’s design evolved out of the University’s vision to be a world leader and educator in ‘integrated’ infrastructure planning and management.

A sustainable home for infrastructure research and development that will drive innovation for the sector here in Australia and overseas, the SMART Infrastructure Facility’s design incorporates ESD features including xeriscape landscaping, electrical sub-metering and automated lighting, secure bike storage facilities, close proximity to public transport services, rainwater harvesting and more.
