Site Tour - Australian Institute of Management Katitjin Centre, Perth

Join us for a site tour of the Australian Institute of Management (AIM) Katitjin Centre on July 2012. The Centre achieved 6 Star Green Star - Education Design v1 certification in April 2011, and is currently targeting a complementary 6 Star Green Star - Education As Built v1 rating.
The Katitjin Centre’s design features high-performance glazing on the building's southern façade, photo voltaic paneling with capacity to feed excess energy generated back into the grid, air-cooled chillers and air handling units that provide superior air change efficiency, motion controlled lighting and carbon dioxide sensors, recycled timber decking, low VOC finishes, onsite rain water capture and low-water, drought resistant plants and landscaping.
Come along to hear from the project team (Fred Chaney, Cox Howlett & Bailey & Darrel Williams, Norman, Disney & Young) on the achievement of a 'world leadership' 6 Star Green Star - Education Design v1 certification for the Katitjin Centre, get an update on the progress of the development's as built submission, and see how innovative sustainable design has created a superior learning venue for AIM Western Australia.
