Join the Green Building of Australia team as we kick off a sustainable 2012 with a tour of the University of South Australia's Mawson Institute Building V on Thursday 23 February 2012.

This landmark building features a distinctive horizontal form, oriented for best practice passive solar design. Housing office space plus specialised research and laboratory facilities, Mawson Institute Building V achieved 5 Star Green Star - Education Design v1 certification in June 2011.

Join a tour to see firsthand how the project team has reconciled the university's unique laboratory requirements with the incorporation of such sustainable design features as natural light maximisation, green wall technology and heat load optimisation. Also hear how the University of South Australia has committed to continue targeting Green Star ratings for further building projects, cementing the uni's leadership in the creation of sustainable campuses for the future.
