In-house Green Star Courses

Thu 29 Jan, 2009 In-house Green Star Courses

One of the key benefits of membership of the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) is access to in-house versions of our highly popular Green Star courses.

If your company is a member of the GBCA and needs to equip large numbers of staff, clients, or whole project teams with a solid knowledge of green building practices and how to apply Green Star rating tools to building projects, then in-house training is the most cost and time effective solution.

Course programs

The GBCA offers in-house versions of all our courses, including:

as well as a new suite of half day Master Classes, available at Introductory and Advanced levels in:

Benefits of in-house training

GBCA members consistently rate in-house training as one of the most valuable benefits of their membership, as it offers access to the same high quality programs available to the public, but with the following additional advantages:

  • Train a large number of staff at the same time
  • Invite key clients, suppliers and contractors who work with your company on Green Star projects
  • Choose the Course Presenter from our Green Star Faculty with industry experience most attuned to your organisation's needs
  • Customise courses to the needs of your staff and organisational objectives
  • Run the course at a time and location convenient for your organisation

From experience, we know that the 'whole team' approach of in-house courses is a key factor in ensuring that your team understands each person's role in achieving the targeted Green Star rating, and helps your company to more easily achieve your Green Star goals.

Costs

All whole day courses cost $450 (inc. GST) per participant

All half day courses cost $250 (inc. GST) per participant

A minimum number of 20 participants is usually required for a course, although alternative arrangements may be possible for smaller numbers - please contact our Education Team to discuss.

The maximum number of participants for courses is 50.

Course participants who choose to take the Green Star Accredited Professional exam after attending the Green Star Accredited Professional course will be charged an additional $150.

Technical manuals - We encourage companies to purchase an appropriate number of the relevant technical manual, so that course participants can refer to them throughout the course.

All course participants will receive a $100 discount off the purchase of any technical manual (valid for one month after the course). This discount applies to all the technical manuals available from our Online Store including the popular Green Star Office Design & As Built v3 technical manual, which is the focus of the Green Star Accredited Professional course.
