Green Star Courses and Workshops
The GBCA offers a variety of specialised courses and workshops to support ongoing learning and green building professional development.
The Green Star - Design & As Built Foundation Course focuses on the content and application of the various Green Star - Design and - As Built rating tools, including the business case for building green, the rating tools available, the categories and credits within the tools, and the steps to register and certify a project.
The Green Star – Performance Foundation Course focuses on the fundamentals of the Green Star – Performance rating tool for existing building operations. The course covers the business case for sustainable operations and facilities management, the online rating tool, the categories and credits within Green Star – Performance, and the steps to register and certify a project.
The Green Star Certification Workshop focuses on helping green building professionals to improve their Green Star project submissions and avoid the common mistakes.
The Green Star Innovation Course is a practical course designed to demystify the Green Star ‘Innovation’ credit. The course provides resources, effective processes, tips and tricks to help applicants and consultants to strengthen ‘Innovation’ claims within their Green Star submissions.
The Green Star – Communities Foundation Course focuses on the application of the Green Star - Communities rating tool, including the Green Star – Communities National Framework, the business case for sustainable community and precinct development, the categories and credits within the tool and the certification model.
The Green Star – Communities: Australian Urban Design Protocol master class has been developed to support practitioners in assessing projects against the Australian Urban Design Protocol (Creating Places for People). This is the underlying framework for the Green Star - Communities ‘Urban Design’ credit.
The Green Star – Communities: Climate Adaptation and Resilience Masterclass provides an overview of adaptation and resilience issues, and how they are addressed under the Gov-6 credit, equipping participants with the skills needed to deliver more adaptable and resilient Australian communities.
GBCA now offers online eLearning courses, providing an opportunity for education anytime, anywhere.
The GBCA is pleased to be able to provide ‘in-house’ training to companies who want to train large groups of staff – particularly project teams – on Green Star. ‘In-house’ training means that we come to your workplace to provide specialised training to your team.
