This session will show attendees how to find low-carbon materials and products to lower embodied carbon through the construction and fitout process.
This session will examine the role materials and specification play in addressing embodied carbon. The panel will cover areas including, LCA's and EPD's, looking at how materials can be assessed and specified at the project level.

About David
David is a professional building designer, structural engineer of nearly 20 years, and Fellow of the IStructE. Now a Technical Director at Aurecon in Melbourne, he has worked in 3 different continents across a wide variety of market sectors, with a long list of complex and prominent project achievements.
David’s passion for sustainability gained momentum around 5 years ago through research into low-carbon concrete, and expanded in breadth and involvement quickly into publications and taking up roles with numerous industry bodies. He now leads Aurecon's Buildings Integrated Sustainability practice group, a collaborative effort of sustainability and building envelope professionals, as we as Aurecon’s global Structural Sustainability initiative.
