Tania Crosbie - Executive Director - Education & Marketing

Melissa Houghton- Marketing Manager

Mel started her career at a youth marketing agency working with clients including Xbox, Yahoo, Commonwealth Bank, V Energy drink and Defence Force Recruiting promoting their brands to the university market. Moving across to the client side Mel joined Defence Force Recuiting as the Regional Marketing Manager working predominantly on Army Reserves and the Schools program.

After 3 years Mel took a Marketing Manager position at News Ltd's online automotive brand Carsguide.com.au. Promoted to Marketing Director Mel was responsible for the re-branding of carsguide across 110 News Ltd papers, online and mobile. After its success Mel then moved across the News Digital Media's commercial division to re-position NDM's corporate brand.

Mel is responsible for working with the Membership, Events and Marketing coordinators to develop and provide value to our member organisations.

Lisa Heinze - Advertising and Marketing Coordinator

Lisa started her marketing career 8 years ago with an iconic American company, Mrs. Fields Cookies. Just over 5 years ago her sense of adventure moved her halfway around the globe to Sydney, where she joined a creative agency and worked on brands including Coca-Cola, Arnott's, Nestle and Bonds.

A few years ago her commitment to the environment was renewed and she returned for a Masters degree in Cultural Studies, during which she researched the cultural barriers to environmental change in western (Australian) society. While at University, Lisa's passion for environmental sustainability continued to grow, and she realised she could no longer just study the movement, she needed to be in it.

Lisa now works on promoting environmental sustainability everyday, managing the GBCA's message across the GBCA website and through the e-newsletter. Lisa also looks after the GBCA brand, working on the design and creative for our advertising, publications, and events.

Louise Wilkinson - Membership Coordinator

Louise has completed a Bachelor Science Degree in Geology (Honours) from the University if Wollongong. She has worked for a variety of organisations, including NSW Cancer Council, Australian Geographic and in member services for Cellarmasters Wine.

Louise's looks after our member organisations and is responsible for attracting new members to the GBCA

Susie Parnell- Events & Marketing Coordinator (NSW, WA, SA, TAS)

Susie is the Events Coordinator for NSW, SA, WA and TAS and is based in the Sydney office.

Susie has had 7 years of events experience across a number of industries including Government, Banking, Legal and Experiential with her most recent role at Cancer Institute NSW where she was responsible for the planning, budgeting, implementation and analysis of strategic events within the cancer research area. Previous to that role she freelanced for numerous companies where she was responsible for conferences, networking events, boardroom lunches and most recent a wedding with delegates ranging from 50 through to 400.

Matthew Monaghan - Events (VIC) & Sponsorship Coordinator

Matthew is the Events (VIC)& Sponsorship Coordinator and is based in the Melbourne office.

Matthew has had over 7 years experience in the events industry. His most recent role at Aged and Community Care Victoria where he was responsible for the planning, budgeting, implementation and analysis of strategic events as well as developing and managing a new department. He was responsible for over 30 major conferences & trade exhibitions at state and national levels with delegates ranging from 300 through to 1500 and trade exhibitions of up to 150 sites.

Previous to this Matthew was at Premier Event Services where he was responsible for organising large-scale events including the management of sponsorship and marketing for these events. Matthew's events portfolio included the Melbourne Bridal Show and the Melbourne Health and Living expos.

Hannah Ditton - Events Coordinator (QLD, NT)

Hannah has been with the GBCA for 2 years and is our Events Coordinator for QLD and NT. In this time Hannah has been responsible for delivering support for Green Cities 2008 and 2009 as well the VIP liaison at SB08 conference.

Hannah also provides ongoing support to QLD members and the State Manager Andrew Aitken. Hannah will be based in Brisbane

Ruth Stanfield - Events Coordinator (ACT)

Ruth Stanfield is Executive Assistant to the ACT State Manager and ACT events and courses co-ordinator. Ruth is employed part time working 15 hours a week.

Formally employed as Executive Assistant to Senator Peter Cook, Minister for Industrial Relations and Minister for Trade for 6 years, Ruth accepted a position with the incoming Dr Carmen Lawrence, Minster for Health and Minister assisting the Prime Minister on Women's Affairs as executive assistant/office manager. Ruth remained with Dr Lawrence for the next four years until the Labor Government loss in 1996.

Following the election loss, Ruth took up a position with the newly elected Federal Member for Canberra, Annette Ellis as Executive Assistant. Ruth stayed working with Ms Ellis for 6 years before taking up a position with ACT local member for Brindabella, Karin MacDonald.

During her years working for Ministers and Members of the Australian Labor Party, Ruth organised many major fundraising events and public forums.

Ruth has maintained a strong relationship with Members and Staff of both the Federal and Local ALP.
