Trudy-Ann King - Market Development Director
Trudy-Ann King has been actively involved in the Green Building Council of Australia since its inception and regularly presents both nationally and internationally at forums and conferences on sustainable design.
Previously a Practice Director with BVN Architecture, Trudy-Ann has 15 years' experience in commercial design, specialising in green workplace design. In her current role, Trudy-Ann engages with industry broadly to identify further opportunities for the Green Building Council of Australia to move the Australia property industry towards sustainability.
Toufik Refki joined the GBCA in 2008 as a Green Star Technical Coordinator. Having been directly involved in project management and certification of multiple Green Star projects around Australia, Toufik moved into his current industry engagement role in 2010.
Previously, Toufik worked as a verification officer for Good Environmental Choice Services. He holds a Bachelor of International Relations and Human Ecology from the Australian National University.
Tanya Parker joined the GBCA in 2010 as part of the Industry Engagement team. Prior to this, Tanya was Manager, Valuations and Advisory, with Jones Lang LaSalle and has 10 years' experience in commercial property valuation and consultancy. In 2007, she was the Business Development Manager at the University of British Columbia's Sustainability Office. Tanya has a Bachelor of Business (Property) from the University of South Australia and is currently completing a Masters (Sustainability) with Adelaide University.
Lauren Bonser - Events Project Management and Marketing
Lauren Bonser joined the GBCA in 2011 and works with the Industry Engagement and Marketing teams to promote and deliver the Council's events program. Lauren completed a Bachelor of Communications in 2008, majoring in social research and public policy. She completed a NSW Parliamentary internship in 2008 and has worked for state and federal government bodies. Lauren has a number of years experience in the events field, working as an event coordinator and project manager to deliver large-scale trade events for the Australian tourism industry.
Prue Munroe - Event Management
Prue Munroe joined the GBCA in 2010 as Education Coordinator, and assumed responsibility for Event Logistics in 2011. Prue has six years' experience in events across a number of industries including medical, tourism, legal and banking. Prue has a Bachelor of Social Science (Recreation and Tourism) from the University of Newcastle and has recently completed an Executive Certificate in Events Management, focusing on sustainable events, from University of Technology Sydney.
Louise Wilkinson - Business Development Coordinator
Since 2007, Louise Wilkinson has overseen the GBCA's membership liaison, and is responsible for attracting new member companies to the Council. Louise has a Bachelor Science Degree in Geology (Honours) from the University if Wollongong, and worked for a variety of organisations, including NSW Cancer Council, Australian Geographic and in member services for Cellarmasters Wine.
Briana Thompson - Green Cities Program Manager
Briana Thompson graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Ecology & Environmental Science) degree from the University of Canberra in 2003. Briana worked in various roles and travelled extensively through the UK and Europe prior to settling in Sydney and accepting a role with the Green Building Council of Australia in September 2006. Briana is responsible for developing program content for Green Cities, the largest and most influential green building conference in the Asia Pacific region. Briana is currently undertaking a Masters of the Built Environment (Sustainable Development) at the University of New South Wales.
Leigh Peckham - Executive Assistant
Leigh Peckham joined the GBCA in 2010 and supports the Council's Industry Engagement team. She has previously worked for Westfield in London as an accounts assistant, an executive assistant at Macquarie Group and a team assistant for Arup in Ireland.
