Chris Luscombe - Mirvac Asset Management

Chris Luscombe has been with Mirvac for 14 years and is the General Manager of Mirvac Asset Management (MAM). He was previously Director - Engineering & Operations for the Mirvac Group's Investment Division, a position he held for 12 years.

He is responsible for the Property Management, Engineering and Operational aspects of approximately 130 commercial, retail, industrial and car park assets currently owned by Mirvac Investments, Funds Management and external clients. These assets represent in excess of $5bn in value and MAM has some 250 staff throughout Australia.

MAM is an integral part of Mirvac Integrated Platform and as such Chris, and his team, is involved in major refurbishments, re-developments, the design and delivery of new assets and the acquisition of new assets. Chris works closely with Mirvac's Development and Architectural division, HPA, and is involved in projects from design stage through to delivery.

Chris plays a leading role, within Mirvac and the broader Property Industry, in the area of Environmental Sustainability. Chris, along with the team at Mirvac, have been instrumental in the development of the Australian Building Greenhouse Rating (ABGR) Scheme (now known as NABERS Energy), NABERS Water, Green Star Office and Retail Design and a number of other benchmarking tools and their application in new developments and the benchmarking and improvement of existing assets. In 2000 Chris was awarded the Green Globe Champions Award for his contribution to the development and application of the ABGR. Chris is a member of Mirvac's National Risk Committee, HSE Committee and Sustainability Committee.

Prior to joining Mirvac, Chris worked for a short time with Growth Equities Mutual. Prior to this, Chris served in the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) for 24 years. His RAN career commenced as an apprentice filter & machinist and on leaving the RAN he held the rank of Lieutenant Commander with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
